Abstract

The following interview, revised substantially and reviewed by Nasr, was conducted by Nadeem Memon with Seyyed Hossein Nasr in 2011. Memon is the Program Director of the Islamic Teacher Education Program, a recently-launched online professional development program for Islamic school teachers. The interview addresses themes of pedagogy and tradition, Islamic education and literacy, and the prospects for Muslims revitalizing Islamic knowledge.
